Does Jesus Live in Our Hearts?
Ron Beard

Does Jesus come into your heart when you “get saved”?
Someone recently posted that “nowhere in the bible does it say that Jesus lives in your heart”. That when we pray “the sinners’ prayer”, we shouldn’t say “Jesus come into my heart” because He doesn’t do that.
First, Jesus does “come into” us.
- John14:20 “At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in me, and I in you.”
- Romans 8:9-11 “But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if the Spirit of God dwells in you. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin.”
- 2Cor.13:5 “…Jesus Christ is in you…”
- Gal.2:20 “…Christ lives in me...”
- Col.1:27 “Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
Second, Jesus does come to live in our hearts.
- Romans 5:5 “The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost.”
- 2Corinthians 1:22 “God has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.”
- Galatians 4:6 “And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son to dwell in your hearts crying out Abba, Father!”
- Ephesians 3:17 “…that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.”

This is a day where everything we do will be tested. Study to show yourself approved, a workman that need not be ashamed (2Tim.2:15).
