The Crown Jewel of Theology

  • All branches of theology find their final end in eschatology.
  • Eschatology produces the ultimate union between God and man: “I will be their God and they will be my children” Rev.21:7 “They will see His face” Rev.22:4 “We will be like Him” 1Jn.3:2
  • Only in eschatology do we see God’s will and purpose fulfilled completely and perfectly. The ultimate goal of creation; To select and train the Bride.
  • The study of eschatology should produce Peace, Assurance, and Boldness. This is our destiny. It should give us complete confidence that “To live is Christ and to die is gain:.
  • Eschatos = (Strongs#2078) It means: Last, Future, Final, Farthest. It is used over 50 times in the New Testament.
  • It is not a point of orthodoxy. How you live your life is based on what you believe about the future. Eschatology is supposed to guide you. Be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path. Building and promoting a false destiny for Jews and Christians has consequences. However, if you get it wrong, the worst that can happen is a lot of wood hay and stubble (not wrath).

Eschatology is the beautiful study of “last things”, How it all comes to a glorious completion. The return of Jesus Christ in all His glory when He will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels…to be glorified in His saints. I believe some saints alive today will see this with their own eyes! When it comes to studying this beautiful section of Theology, as it has been said, “There’s a ditch on both sides of the road”. Some church leaders refrain from talking about it at all, afraid of the ‘fallout’ or the unanswerable questions. And others drowned their congregations in endless talk of the rapture and the latest prophecies concerning Israel. As precious as eschatology is, it can’t just be tossed into this present mud hole of ‘end times’ false teaching to be distorted and dismantled. The major pothole to avoid today is dispensationalism. As will see below, it is very destructive.
