Victorious Church 2
There is no doubt The Church will be Victorious!
On this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” Matt.16:18, Jesus Christ defeating his foes in Rev.19:11-21, and an image of the victorious church in Rev. 21:2 “As a bride adorned for her husband”. The question is…Will YOU be victorious?
How can we insure a seat at the table?
Through Christ only:
- John 15:1-5 I am the vine, you are the branches, apart from Me, you can do nothing.
- 1 Cor.15:57 Thanks be to God, which gives us the Victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Rom.8:37 We are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
- 1 John 5:4 Whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world
- Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me
For my friend Decker and anyone else who isn’t sure…
Surrender: Make sure you’re in the family. When Jesus died on the cross, He paid the price for your sins (transgressions against God’s laws). If you accept that fact and believe in Him, God says He will forgive you of everything you’ve done.
John 3:16 says it this way. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes on Him will not perish, but have everlasting life”.
Nothing else required, just believe. You can pray a prayer like this: “Jesus, I believe when you died, you paid the price for my sins. I ask you to forgive me of all my sins, come into my heart and guide me into your new life”.
That’s it, New Life started. Jesus comes into your heart, (you’ll feel different). The moment you surrender, a miracle takes place. Jesus quickens your spirit, forgives all your sins, redeems you, justifies you, reconciles you to God, adopts you and gives you eternal life. It’s quite the trade for just believing, but that’s it.
How should we live?
Keys to Victory
Obedience: The great reward for obedience!
- Matt.2818-20 “All power is given unto Me in heaven and earth. Go ye therefore teach all nations…to observe all things whatsoever things I have commanded you.
- John 14:21 “He that has my commandments and keeps them, he it is that loves me: and he that loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will manifest Myself to him”.
- John 14:23 “If a man love Me, he will keep My words: And My Father will love him, and we will come unto him and make our abode in him”.
Love: If God is Love, then we should reflect His love.
- The Greatest Commandment: Love God & Love your neighbor as yourself. Mt.22:37-39
- In John13:34-35 Jesus says “A new commandment I give you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you. By THIS shall all men know that ye are my disciples.
Is there any person? any group, team? nationality? That God’s love can’t reach through you?
Which is God more impressed with?
- If you have the gift of communicating freely with heaven
- prophesying at will
- comprehending all of heaven’s mysteries
- having all knowledge and great faith (so as to move mountains)
- donating everything you own to the poor
- sacrificing your body
or just letting Jesus love through you?
Prayer: Our powerful weapon
- 1Thess.5:17 “Pray without ceasing”
- Matt.6:6 “Pray to the Father in secret; and He will reward you openly”.
- Mark 11:24 “What things soever ye desire, when you pray, believe that ye receive them and ye shall have them”.
- Luke 21:36 “Pray always that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man”.
Faith: Without faith, it is impossible to please God (Heb.11:6).
- Rom.10:17 Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. This is what you started with. The more you get, the more you grow.
Reading the bible, praying, finding a church to support you, in order to build a relationship with your savior. Christianity isn’t a religion, it is a relationship with your savior.
